INTEGRATION Bewitching Book Tour stop 32: Letters Inside Out (giveaway/review)

Please note Integration is the second book in the Bonfire Academy series. My review for Book One:Initiation. Because this is the second book, the following review may contain slight spoilers for the first book. Please take that into consideration.
Second Haiku warning:
A boyfriend missing
A lover must pay in blood
A princess must die
Welcome back to Bonfire Academy.
Integration starts back up with the start of the school year, last year’s new class are now being integrated completely in with the new school. Cordelia is now playing a bigger role in the school’s staff.
If you haven’t read any of the Bonfire Academy series (or the Bonfire Chronicles), Bonfire Academy is a school that houses a little bit of everything – from demons to trolls and everything in between. There is a ton of rivalry between each group. In Initiation a demon/human-hybrid was brought in, Faustine, she was the first of her kind at the school and because of that she wasn’t well received by some of the species. In Initiation, Faustine’s life is being threatened and we close thinking there will be a bit of resolution.
Integration throws all of that out of the window early on, vague haikus appear with threatening messages. I didn’t see the threats coming – as in the one included in the synopsis – I was horrified to learn just what it was talking about. I was kept guessing through the whole book, as I learned some things I would come up with new questions about who could possibly be involved.
Cordelia’s working hard and trying to get to the bottom of things and keep Faustine safe and find the “boyfriend”. Cordelia’s little brother is now at Bonfire and I would love to learn more about him. He’s such a cute little troublemaker!
While Integration was satisfying and entertaining, I couldn’t help but feeling that some of the things I’d hoped to learn more about from Initiation were completely ignored or barely acknowledged. I didn’t let that ruin my thoughts on the book though, because Initiation and Integration are a prequel to the Bonfire Chronicles (Faustine). I have not read Faustine yet, but am planning to do so, to see if some of my questions are answered there.
The series so far is perfect for fans of boarding schools and the paranormal, Rose continues to entertain me with her writing style. I’m definitely a fan of the series!
